Generation to Generation: Helping young people thrive

Generation to Generation is a five-year campaign created to mobilize one million people age 50-plus to help young people thrive. Launched by Encore.org, a national nonprofit that assists experienced adults engage with their communities, the campaign kicked off November 17, 2016. The Center for the Future of Aging is among its many supporters. The campaign's website will include success stories, opportunities and a list of partners and funders. Through a partnership with VolunteerMatch, the site will enable people to connect with community-based youth-serving organizations – groups that are often stretched for resources and in need of experienced people to work with kids. Generation to Generation promises to be a touchpoint where people from different ages, backgrounds and social classes can come together around a common goal -- helping to fight inequality, increase opportunity and create a better future for the next generation.
