October 19, 2016

Speaking with Jacob Gaffney, editor-in-chief of HousingWire, Henry Cisneros, chairman of Cityview, an urban real estate investment firm and member of the Milken Institute’s Center for the Future of Aging advisory board, underlines the importance of increasing safe access to affordable housing for America’s aging population. Cisneros, former U.S. secretary of housing and urban development and mayor of San Antonio, offers solutions to the challenges an aging population presents to the housing system. Says Cisneros: “If we can make our homes safer while elevating the importance of falls prevention within the health care system, we can achieve the twin goals of improving senior health and reducing costs.”
