On May 16, 2017, Generations United and The Eisner Foundation released survey findings in the new report, I Need You, You Need Me: The Young, The Old & What We Can Achieve Together, at the National Press Club in Washington, DC. This report highlights how generations can work together to make their communities better places. It includes the results of a public opinion survey that finds solidarity across generations to build stronger, more cohesive communities. Based on survey findings and featured organizations, the report highlights inventive, intergenerational solutions and actionable ways to harness the benefits of connecting generations. The Eisner Foundation awarded the Eisner Prize for Intergenerational Excellence to DOROT, the New York-based nonprofit whose creative approaches to intergenerational solutions have inspired their communities. Some of the speakers included Michael and Jane Eisner, founders of The Eisner Foundation, Trent Stamp, CEO of The Eisner Foundation and member of the Center for the Future of Aging Advisory Board, and Juan Williams, journalist and political analyst for Fox News Channel.
